FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing C,C'-substituted m-carboranes HCB10H10CCH(CH3)2, HCB10H10CC(CH3)CH2, CH3OCOCH2CB10H10CCH2OCOCH3, by high-temperature isomerisation. Raw product used is their o-carborane isomers, generation and isomerisation of vapour of which is carried out in the temperature range of 375-450 °C and 580-640 °C, respectively, in an inert atmosphere in flow mode by feeding their solutions in methanol into the reactor.
EFFECT: avoiding high requirements for purity of the starting product, minimizing resinification and decomposition of the starting and end products, as well as providing controllability of the technological process.
