SUBSTANCE: invention relates to assembly production and can be used as an auxiliary tool for manual assembly operations and personnel training. Disclosed is a method for automated assembly of an article using augmented reality technology, realized using a device consisting of an augmented reality module, a module for recognition and visual inspection of the quality of the article, a reference three-dimensional model of the article, a data markup module, a three-dimensional model of assembly of the article, an automated process control module, a three-dimensional assembled product model, including the creation of a reference three-dimensional model of the product, which provides real-time recognition and display of assembly parts and algorithms for assembling the product and formed using a data markup module using machine learning based on data of drawings or existing three-dimensional models of the product, execution of assembly operations by operator with formation of product assembly three-dimensional model, wherein when incorrect actions of the operator are detected, a warning is issued and the operator is simultaneously trained; performance at product assembly stage by operator of automatic recognition and visual control of article quality by module of recognition and visual control of article quality, wherein upon detection of defects and/or incorrect assembly warning is issued; forming a three-dimensional model of the assembled article after assembling the article, comparing the three-dimensional model of the assembled article with a reference three-dimensional model of the article, wherein if discrepancies are detected between assembled article 3D model and article reference 3D model, the article is sent for reworking.
EFFECT: enlarging application field of assembly system.
