SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer systems for servicing sales in the retail sector. The system for determining the value of a weighted product is made with the possibility for the goods placed on the weighing platform to capture the image generated by the video camera, followed by transmission to the control server and converting the image obtained by the video camera into a sequence of frames, presented with data in a digital format suitable for use by means of product recognition, selecting one of the video camera frames when stabilizing the position of the goods on the weighing platform and performing recognition of the goods located on the weighing platform and presented on the selected frame by means of a recognition system, with the formation of a list of recognized goods from a database as similar as possible to the recognized goods, forming and the presentation to the buyer of an interactive menu system indicating the list of goods, and when the buyer chooses the identifier of the weight product using the menu system for determining the value of the weight product by multiplying the weight of the product expressed in units of weight by the cost of a unit of goods.

EFFECT: technical result is to ensure the possibility of creating a universal product recognition tool that provides real-time operational correction of product recognition errors, as well as ensuring the possibility of reducing the number of cash registers in retail chains.
