FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to restorative medicine, balneology and physiotherapy, and can be used for rehabilitation of patients with osteoarthritis associated with arterial hypertension. Sulphide mud applications with temperature of 34-36 °C are applied on affected joints. In one procedure, applications are applied on no more than 2 large or 4 medium joints. If small joints of hands and feet are involved, application of “gloves” and “socks” type is applied. Duration of procedure is 15-20 minutes; the therapeutic course is 8-10 procedures every second day. Selective vasoactive electrical stimulation (VES) is performed with the help of “Body Drain” apparatus, “Stimulation” program. In case of lower extremity joints affection flat flexible rubber electrodes (anodes) No. 1 and No. 3 with viscose gaskets 12×9 cm is placed in the middle one-third of the posterior surface of the shins. Vacuum electrodes (cathodes) No. 2 and No. 4 – in a projection of inguinal ganglionic lymph nodes. In case of joints of upper extremities electrodes (anodes) No. 1 and No. 3 with viscose gaskets 12×9 cm are placed in the middle one-third of the back surface of the shoulders, vacuum electrodes (cathodes) No. 2 and No. 4 – in a projection of axillary ganglionic lymph nodes. Length of procedure is 20 minutes, the current intensity to visible painless muscle contractions is within range of 15-31 mA, the vacuum force in the vacuum electrodes is 0.2 bar, the pulsation mode is 8 pulses per minute. Therapeutic course is 8-10 procedures every second day, on days free from peloid therapy.

EFFECT: method provides higher efficiency of medical rehabilitation of patients with comorbid pathology of OA and AH due to minimization of inflammation intensity.
