FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: electromechanical converter of gas turbine engine includes stator fixed on housing, rotor connected to output shaft of engine, cooling system. Front end shield and rear end shield are attached to housing in which stator with winding and tight cylindrical insert is fixed. On the front end shield there is a housing of the catcher having a surface bevel with smooth reduction of the bore towards the sealed cylindrical stator insert. On the surface of the catcher there are radial channels in which permanent magnets are installed. Impeller is fixed on the rotor bushing. Stator and rotor are separate.

EFFECT: improving reliability of electromechanical converter by means of possibility of trapping of small magnetic particles contained in air flow passing through its air gap by means of magnetic traps.
