FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to process installations for processing materials using a beam of charged particles (electrons, ions). Apparatus for measuring the phase portrait of a powerful stationary beam of charged particles consists of a vacuum chamber, a diagnosis base, bellows inserts placed at the beginning and at the end of the diagnosis base, a diagnostic vacuum chamber, a beam receiver – a Faraday cup, and a computer for collecting and processing the obtained data. Vacuum chamber accommodates water cooling circuit, video camera, video camera connection pipe and 3D vacuum motion input. “holder” of four cooled different-diameter collimators with a countersink around the holes is attached to the three-coordinate vacuum motion input. Holes of the collimator are spaced apart. Diagnostics vacuum chamber consists of wire scanner, system for parallel transfer of diagnostics base – coordinate table, video camera, connection pipe for its connection and stainless-steel rings with cut-off voltage supplied to them.
EFFECT: enlarging spatial-angular parameters diagnosed by the device.
