SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering and specifically to methods and systems for ranking search results. Method of generating a search result page for transmission to an electronic device associated with a search engine user located on a server connected to the electronic device, which is executed by the server and involves: obtaining request data from the electronic device, determining a set of web content items, including search results corresponding to the query and containing a given web content item, based on the query data; formation of context data based on a set of web content elements and request data, transmitting context data to the model and determining a metric value for a given web content element-position pair, generating a search results page with a given web content element placed at a given ranking position based on the metric value.
EFFECT: high accuracy of generating relevant search results.
