FIELD: obtaining cellulose.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of microcrystalline cellulose from non-wood plant material. Method of producing microcrystalline cellulose from topinambur and miscanthus stems involves hydrolysis with bleaching of non-wood plant material in a solution of peroxymonosulphur acid at atmospheric pressure and temperature of 100-105 °C for 1-2 hours. Before hydrolysis with peroxymonosulphuric acid, stems of topinambur or miscanthus are treated with sodium hydroxide solution with consumption of 10-15% to absolutely dry material and hydromodule of 10-15 at temperature of 90-95 °C for 1-2 hours and hydrolysis is carried out with amylase and cellulase enzymes in ratio of 1:1 at consumption of 0.001-0.010% of the weight of absolutely dry material for 0.5-1.5 hours at temperature of 20-40 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain microcrystalline cellulose with output of 45-60%, degree of crystallinity of 75-82% with reduced hydromodule of acid hydrolysis.
