SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the pharmaceutical industry, specifically to an ophthalmic moisturizing agent and a method for preparation thereof. Ophthalmic moistener contains sodium hyaluronate, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrophosphate monohydrate, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, polyhexanide and water in following amount in mg per ml: sodium hyaluronate 0.05-5.0, sodium chloride 0.05-20.0, sodium dihydrophosphate monohydrate 0.01-1.0, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate 0.01-1.0, polyhexanide 0.01-1.0, water – balance, wherein kinematic viscosity is within, mm²/s: 2.0-5.5. Method of producing said moisturizing agent, characterized by that sodium chloride, sodium dihydrophosphate monohydrate, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate are successively dissolved in water, separately dissolving sodium hyaluronate and polyhexanide in water, after which the solutions of sodium salts and sodium hyaluronate are mixed, and then the polyhexanide solution is gradually added to the combined solution while stirring continuously.

EFFECT: using the group of inventions provides preparing the moisturizing agent, as well as prolonging the lachrymal film rupture time when using the above agent, especially if observing the low viscosity of the preparation that enables instilling from 1 drop no more than 1-3 times a day.
