SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a two-component acrylic adhesive composition for gluing metal surfaces, as well as a method of preparing said composition. Two-component acrylic adhesive composition consists of two components: component A and component B. Component A contains 44-60 wt.% of methyl methacrylate, 24.9-30 wt.% of polymethyl methacrylate, 10-15 wt.% of methacrylic acid, 2.5-5 wt.% of curing accelerator based on aromatic amine, 2.5-5 wt.% of thixotropic additive and 0.1-1 wt.% of polymerisation inhibitor. Component B contains 15-20 wt.% of benzoyl peroxide, 65-70 wt.% of plasticizer and 10-15 wt.% of methyl methacrylate.
EFFECT: obtained adhesive composition is fast-curable at room temperature and also provides high strength for gluing metals and resistance to external action.
