FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, since it concerns investigation of contact characteristics in rolling bearings and can be used for measurement of actual contact area in rolling bearings. Device for determining actual contact area in rolling bearings comprises housing, support installed in housing with one end with possibility of rotation, specimen attached to free end of rotation support, fixed on the body loading mechanism, with possibility of interaction with the support, annular illuminator, counter-sample is made of transparent material, according to the claimed technical solution, in order to ensure the simultaneous inspection of the entire contact surface of the samples, specimen – rolling element is installed on shaft; counter specimen is made in the form of rotation body with section in axial direction in the form of isosceles triangle, lateral sides of which are located at the angle of more than 41.5 degrees, from polished surfaces of transparent materials and base that reflects beams from refraction.
EFFECT: providing simultaneous monitoring of the entire contact surface of samples in rolling bearings.
