FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for erection of anti-filtration coating of low-pressure earth dam for rice irrigation systems. Method of protecting low-pressure earthen dams on rice irrigation systems involves laying an anti-landslide structure on a web of a waterproof geotextile material, which is a biaxially oriented woven polyester geotextile, wherein a reinforcing mesh made from a composite material is used as an anti-landslide structure, to reinforce which on the crest, foot and slopes of the dam, angles from a flexible polymer are used, which provides the possibility of bending it at angles equal to the angles of conjugation of the slope and crest of the dam and the slope with the foot of the dam, and anchors with grousers, wherein the reinforcement mesh is covered with clay soil, starting from the crest and to the base of the dam with a layer increasing in thickness.
EFFECT: novelty of the invention is due to the fact that in comparison with existing technical solutions enabling the possibility of increasing the operational reliability of the protection of low-pressure earthen dams on the rice irrigation systems due to use of cellular structure of reinforcement mesh filled with clay soil, which reinforces upstream slope and prevents formation of landslide processes on body of earth dam, as well as a waterproof fabric cloth made of geotextile material, which will prevent water losses for filtration, preventing swamping, salinization and flooding of agricultural lands; use of the invention will make it possible to increase operational reliability of anti-filtration coatings of low-pressure earthen dams for rice irrigation systems.
