FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydraulic engineering, in particular to devices for the preventive protection of the slopes of the upstream canal pound low-pressure bulk dam from burrowing animals. Device contains a stainless steel metal grid with cells of at least 3×3 cm around the perimeter of the slope and 1 m across. Mesh is fixed to the slope and underside by metal anchors (pins), 20 cm long, with a cross section of 3–5 mm, in 1.5–2 m increments at 4 points. Metal mesh protects the body of the earth dam in the underwater and surface parts of the earth-moving animals and forces them to abandon digging holes in the body of the dam.
EFFECT: invention eliminates the need for subsequent costly repairs to seal cracks, filtration passages and burrows of earth-moving animals.
