FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of tracking the location of an object. Radio signal transmitted by a portable electronic tag attached to the object with a predetermined radiation intensity is received by means of a reader located in the room, wherein the radio signal carries a message with the identifier of the portable electronic tag. Distance from the reader to the portable electronic tag is determined by the reader based on the intensity of the received radio signal. Report containing the date and time of receiving the message, the identifier of the reader, the identifier of the portable electronic tag and a certain distance from the reader to the portable electronic tag is sent by the reader to the telemetry server through a network connection. Location of the object in the room is identified on the telemetry server using a certain distance from the reader to the portable electronic tag.
EFFECT: high accuracy of locating equipment by determining the distance between the reader and the tag.
