FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to alloys based on intermetallic compound TiFe. It can be used as alloy for reversible storage of hydrogen. Disclosed is TiFe-based hydride-forming alloy, wt.%: Cr 3-5, Fe 48-50, S 0-1.0, Ti – balance.
EFFECT: increase of reversible capacity by hydrogen due to avoiding the necessity to activate the alloy surface.
