FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for recycling oily wastes, involving mixing oily wastes with a decontaminating composition containing ground to finely dispersed state quicklime, spent silica gel and wastes of oil and fat industry – spent diatomite filter powder in a weight ratio of quicklime and spent silica gel of 1:(0.125-0.25), unslaked lime and spent diatomite filter powder 1:(0.125-0.25), with subsequent introduction of the calculated amount of water for the reaction with quicklime, the calculation of which is determined taking into account the water present in the oily waste and the water absorption of spent silica gel, decontaminating composition is added to oil-containing wastes until formation of homogeneous hydrophobic granular fine powder. Method is characterized by that the decontaminating composition is added to oil-containing wastes in a weight ratio of 1:(1-1.2) and supply of spent diatomite filter powder to the mixture of oil-containing wastes, quicklime and spent silica gel begins when temperature of 55-70 °C.
EFFECT: use of the method reduces leachability of contaminants from the product of recycling oily wastes.
