SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Technical result is achieved by the following steps: obtaining user input text data from a user of an electronic device; generating a first vector representation representing text data of the user input; generating a second vector representation representative of the name of the application from a plurality of applications in which a user has input text data; combining the first and second vector representations to form a combined vector representation for the user input text data; transmitting the combined vector representation to a natural language processing model trained to generate text tips based on the current user input data in each of the plurality of applications and based on the names of these applications, in order to generate a text prompt that a user can select for input in a given application after text data of user input; and issuing a text prompt enabling a user of the electronic device to input a text prompt in a given application after the text data of the user input.
EFFECT: high accuracy of generating text tips for text input in one of a plurality of applications.
