FIELD: control of technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of technological processes developed for complex systems having both electrical and mechanical components. In particular, the invention relates to control systems for electrolysis equipment which is connected to a variable power source such as a renewable energy source. Control system for functioning of modular arrangement of electrolysis cells in conditions of alternating input voltage from renewable energy sources is designed to optimize operation by reducing shortage and excess potential of cells. Supply of energy and flow of electrolyte to cells or groups of cells is interrupted or resumed depending on available electric potential and optimum electric potential required for active cells.
EFFECT: improving operating efficiency of an electrolysis cell and purity of produced gases.
