Method of synthesis of 2-dichloromethyl-2-thiazoline-4-carboxylic acid involves interaction of cysteine with dichloroacetic acid ortho-ethyl ester at 90-110 C. Synthesized compound is used as a stabilizing agent of a hidden image centers of halogen-silver photographic materials. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
