FIELD: light-sensitive materials. SUBSTANCE: improvement concerns method including synthesis of ammonia silver halide photographic emulsion with silver iodide content 3.9 ± 0.1 mol % and microcrystal size 0.06 ± 0.2 mcm involving two-jet emulsifying; gelation; cutting into worms; washing to pBr 3.1-3.2 and pH 5.6 ± 0.2; freezing-out; melting; chemical ripening in presence of sodium thiosulfate; addition of sensitizing dye 1-beta-hydroxyethyl-3- propyl-5-(3-beta-carboxyethylbenzoxazolinilidene-2- ethylidene)imidazolidinethion-2-on-4, stabilizer of latent-image sites 2-thiazoline-4-carboxylic acid or 2-methyl-2- thiazolinecarboxylic acid, stabilizer 1-phenyl-5-mercaptotetrazol, and tanners: adipic acid bis-ethyleneimide and 1,3,5-tris(acryloyl)- 1,3,5-triazine; pouring resultant emulsion onto glass support; drying; and wet tanning of emulsion layer at 55 β 1 C and relative air humidity 55-65% for 16 β 0.1 h. Novelty consists in that, after wet tanning of emulsion layer, the latter is subjected to additional incubation at 65-80 C and relative air humidity 10-20%. EFFECT: reduced regression of latent image and stabilized optical density values.
