FIELD: microbiological and food industries. SUBSTANCE: Candida genus yeast is grown on a synthetic medium containing n-alkalines or ethanol. The cultivation is carried out by using a flow-type method in a battery of two devices having working volumes of 0.5 and 5 l at 34 deg C, a stirrer operating at 800 rpm and an aeration of 1 l/l/min. The culture medium in the first fermenter is 50% corn stem hydrolysate and additionally contains mineral salts, and the and additionally a fresh culture medium containing noncarbohydrate substrates from the first fermenter are fed into the second fermenter. As a result, the battery capacity is increased by 1.7 times. EFFECT: increased yield of the biomass for the cultivation of yeast. 2 tbl
