FIELD: leather industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves treatment of leather semifinished product with aqueous solution of vegetable and/or synthetic tanning agents as foam showing resistance 15-200 min at its consumption 1-10 l per 1 kg semifinished product. Treatment is carried out for 10-60 min. The source of vegetable tanning agents: willow, quebracho or oak extract, syntans N 2, N 9, БНС or СПС. The source of surface-active substance: prevocell, neckal or metaupon. The ratio of components is the following, wt.-% tanning agent 1-40; surface-active substance 1-3, and water the rest.
