FIELD: mechanical engineering; air cushion device for movement over nonprepared floors of machine building plants. SUBSTANCE: device has aerostatic supports 1 with fitted on load platform 2. Load platform has central support pivot 3. Each support 1 is furnished with cup 6 enclosing the support, and mechanisms to provide movement of cup relative to support made in form of inclined springs 10 uniformly placed over cup circumference. Ring rubber hose 7 is secured on support housing. Inner closed space of hose communicates with pickup 8 which provides cutting off compressed air supply to support. When operator transports platform 2 with load 11, supports 1 move inside cups 6 until hose 7 thrusts against flange of cups 6. Pressure in hoses 7 rises, and pickup 8 cuts off air delivery of supports. Platform 2 lowers to pivot 3, springs 10 lift cups 6 which get aligned relative to supports by means of rollers 9. Then pickup 8 cuts in air supply to supports, and second cycle of step movement of device is executed. EFFECT: simplified design, improved operating characteristics. 2 cl, 3 dwg
