FIELD: metallurgy; chemical means of cleaning surfaces of metal products. SUBSTANCE: used hydrochloric acid was recovered by heating, spraying solution into hot products of fuel combustion, and separating oxide dust to obtain aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid. Aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid was made by absorbing hydrogen chloride with sewage water. Concentration of hydrochloric acid to be recovered was additionally stepped up by repeated evaporation and thermal treatment that brought about decomposition of iron chloride. Yield of recovered used hydrochloric acid was raised to 20.8 % . EFFECT: higher yield of recovered hydrochloric acid. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
