FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: linear electric motor has single-ended inductor 5 with magnetic circuit 6 and poles 7 on which armature winding 8 and excitation winding 9 are located and secondary element 1 with alternating teeth 2 forming the toothed rows shifted longitudinally by amount of relative displacement of armature windings corresponding to them. Armature windings create travelling magnetic field, excitation windings provide for directional modulation of field due to which tractive force is created. Positive effect is achieved through avoidance of pulsations of vertical force. EFFECT: saving of electric power. 6 dwg
