FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing components of charge, their melting and refining. Phosphates of rate-metals are used as material containing rare-earth metals, their quantities being 55-65 mass %. Phosphates mentioned above are initially mixed with fluorspar, its quantity being 50% of its total expense. Then graphite shavings and iron cast shavings are added, their quantities are 5-10 and 50-100% of mixture mass respectively, then melting at 1650-1700 C is carried out. After sustaining within 30-35 min cast iron shavings and residue of fluorspar are added, shaving's quantity is not less 50% of melt mass. Then melt is sustained within 30-35 min and is decanted. EFFECT: extends variety of raw materials. 1 tbl
