FIELD: production of fused flux. SUBSTANCE: method provides for preparation of flux components in the form of charge blend and their melting in electric arc furnace in two stages. First, one part of charge and thermit blend are melted and then remaining part of charge is supplied to melt. Thermit blend is used in the form of blend of aluminum chips and iron oxide powder, while the remaining part, in the form of fluorspar. The latter may be supplied at once in all amount. EFFECT: reduced expenditures for melting flux; decreased losses of low-melting components and higher quality of flux. 6 cl
