FIELD: rolling. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming a spring sheet, having periodical shape along its length, in a roll grooved pass of a rolling stand of a rolling mill; making a mean portion of its shape period T-shaped and end portions of its shape period rectangular due to variable reduction of a mean portion of its cross section and constant reduction of its lateral portions; preliminary rolling a rolled piece in a roughing roll pass, having trapezium or T-shaped form, with deformation of its edges, being more, than deformation of the mean portion by 25-55% in order to decrease a difference between a width of the mean portion and the end portion of the periodical shape sheet; providing reduction of edges in periodical roll pass, equal to 25-45% That allows to provide industrial production of periodical spring strip. EFFECT: enhanced quality of spring sheet; metal economy due to elimination of overfilling of the roll grooved pass. 1 cl, 2 dwg, 3 tbl
