FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has heaters. Each heater is enclosed in quartz glass tube. Inner surface of tube is provided with reflective shielding opposed portions. Cooling air is supplied into tube to cool heater shell. Apparatus is adapted to heat sheet billets prior to forming in working zone of stamping machine. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation by increased service life of heaters. 3 dwg
