FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: infrared heating unit includes a frame, a heat-insulating screen and infrared emitters; the latter are made as solid components from a composite carbon-carbon material in the form of a U-shaped plate, the current-carrying ends of which are perpendicular to a channel body and passed through holes in the screen; with that, their thickness is larger than the channel body by 4-5 times. The screen is made of a high-temperature fibrous heat-insulating plate and cut into separate square tiles with non-through slots, and the irradiated surface of the screen can be provided with a coating from a material with reflecting capacity of at least 0.2-0.3.

EFFECT: invention will allow increasing a maximum temperature of the heated structure up to 1900 K at increase of density of a radiant flux impinging on it, which is required for quick heating of a test object.
