FIELD: acceleration equipment. SUBSTANCE: accelerator has accelerating system incorporating cathode 1 and anode 2, plasma gun positioned on anode 2, magnetic system with current carrying elements 3 and power supply source 4. Ring electrode 5 is inserted between electrodes 1 and 2 and ceramic insulator 6 is placed between electrodes of plasma gun. Cathode 7 of plasma gun is fabricated in the form of rod which one end is anchored in hole of insulator 6 and which other end is electrically connected to current carrying elements 3 manufactured in the form of Archimedean spiral which external ends are connected to electrode 5. Accelerator has only one power supply system and has no autonomous magnetic system. EFFECT: simplified design, decreased consumed power of accelerator . 2 dwg
