FIELD: fur industry. SUBSTANCE: method for dressing fur skins includes pickling, chamois tannage, ageing, sammying, sleeking, drying and currying. Sammying and sleeking are carried out directly after pickling, and chamois tannage is effected by brushing with tanning emulsion of water-in-oil type for 10-30 s with emulsion consumption of 150-250 g/sq.m. This method allows exclusion of retanning. Water-in-oil emulsion is used in form of, e.g. compound containing synthetic fat, industrial oil, surfactant, and liquid chrome tanning agent.
