FIELD: catalytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method comprise steps of preparing catalyst by plasma spraying of ferrum containing raw material, being ferrum, dispersed by electric erosion way in water with magnesium nitrate (a promotor) and aluminium hydroxide into a flow of gaseous heat transfer agent with subsequent separation of mass of the catalyst from the gas flow and molding it. Such conditions allow to increase thermic stability of the catalyst. For example, its activity at 800 and 900 C being 96.8 and 95.6 against 96.1 and 94 of the well known catalyst; time period of heat treatment consists 0.2-0.4 hours against 40 hours and a number of steps being 3, but not 7. EFFECT: enhanced thermic stability of the catalyst. 1 cl, 2 tbl
