FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of catalysis. Described is method of preparing catalyst for synthesis of methanol and conversion of carbon monoxide, which includes sedimentation of nitro-acid salts of copper, zinc and aluminium from solutions of nitrates of copper, zinc and aluminium on preliminarily sedimented stabiliser with solution of sodium carbonate at specified temperature and pH, with the following separation of sediment, washing, drying, burning and pelleting, and sedimentation is carried out on preliminarily sedimented copper-aluminium (Cu-Al) or copper-zinc-aluminium (Cu-Zn-Al), or zinc-aluminium stabiliser, and after stage of drying and/or burning strengthening additives - talum (mixture of mono- and dialuminate of calcium) or calcium oxide and/or promoting additives of alkaline metals are introduced in catalyst mass.
EFFECT: extension of assortment of catalyst preparation methods.
