FIELD: catalytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: catalyst has 22-25% zinc acetate on activated carbon (micropore volume is 0,32-0,35 cm3/g/g, total pore volume is 0,76-0,85 cm3/g); pores show the following granulometric composition: 30-45% and 55-70% at diameter 5-7 mm and 2.8-5 mm, respectively. Under these conditions vinyl acetate output in the process of its synthesis from acetylene and acetic acid is up to 200-218 g/l catalyst for 1 hr that above 15% as compared that with the known catalyst. Exploitation time of catalyst proposed is prolonged from 10 to 12-14 days. EFFECT: increased output and exploitation time of catalyst. 1 tbl
