FIELD: catalysts in organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: method consists in bringing active salt content of catalyst (zinc acetate) into direct contact with carbon-containing carrier with specific surface 400 to 1200 sq.m/g at temperature gradually increased from 20 to 230-240 C with rate 1-5 deg./min and maintaining product at final temperature for 30 to 90 min. EFFECT: simplified one-step procedure, increased catalyst lifetime, and eliminated injurious waste. 1 tbl
