FIELD: ice ships. SUBSTANCE: ship is provided with two pipe lines 2 extending from ship's hull 1. Portion of explosive gas mixture is fed through front holes of pipe lines; this mixture is spread under ice in flat bubble. Portion of initiating gas is fed through rear holes; when this mixture gets in contact with explosive mixture, explosion occurs breaking ice cover. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking the ice cover and reduction of action of explosion on ship's structural members. 8 dwg
