FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: mixture for manufacture of superhard composite material includes 55-70 per cent by mass of cubic boron nitride and 45-30 per cent by mass of intermetallic compound of Ti3Cu with addition of 5-20% of aluminium of mass of intermetallic compound. Output of good material amounts to 60-80% . Cutting resistance is 30-35 min when machining steel with hardness HRC 60 at cutting condition of t= 0.5 mm, S= 0.1 mm/rpm, v= 80-100 m/min. Mixture is used for manufacture of edged cutting tools. EFFECT: improved cutting properties and increased output of good material. 1 tbl
