FIELD: manufacturing of superhard materials in high pressure and high temperature devices. SUBSTANCE: metallic composition, abrasive layer and relaxation layer are disposed consequently by vertical layers in shaping insert. Said metallic composition is compressed of mixture of tricomponent intermetallic compounds Cu2AlTi, CuAlTi, CuAl5Ti2,Cu4Al71Ti25,CuAl23Ti8,. Said abrasive layer comprises powder of cubic boron nitride being mixed with powder diamond (both powders being preliminary metallized by aluminium) together with powder of hard-facing alloy within definite ranges. Proposed method may be used by production of edge cutting instrument. EFFECT: improved cutting ability. 1 tbl
