FIELD: mining and construction; applicable in making curved holes of small cross-section. SUBSTANCE: working member is made in form of front section 1 and rear section 2. Sections 1 and 2 are interconnected by means of controlled deflecting tool in form of link mechanism. Drilling head 3 is secured to front section 1. Link mechanism is made in form of double cardan joints installed coaxially to force members. Double cardan joints have input link 10 and output link 13 connected to each other by means of axles with intermediate links 11 and 12. Input links are rigidly connected with front section 1 of drilling head. Output links 13 are installed on rear section 2. They are connected with force members. Part of axles of joints of input and intermediate hinges is installed radially, and the other axles are oriented square to them. Hinge interlocking mechanism has electromagnet. When device is fed, drilling head 3 cuts the hole bottom and device moves in formed hole. When necessity arises to deflect borehole, geared motors of force members are engaged and length of respective hinge is changed. In this case, the other hinges assume automatically the required position. Upon passing the curved section, hinges assume the initial size. EFFECT: higher efficiency in making slim holes with simultaneous increase of work reliability and maintainability. 3 cl, 11 dwg
