FIELD: borehole gravitation logging. SUBSTANCE: method for borehole gravitation logging is realized by measurement of free fall acceleration by employing scheme (2n-1)-(2n)-(2n-1). Measurement results are used to determine the nonlinear component of gravity- meter drift caused by vertical temperature gradient in the given section of borehole, and true value of free fall acceleration is determined with consideration of linear components of gravity-meter drift. EFFECT: higher accuracy due to exclusion of effect of borehole vertical temperature gradient, and increased logging efficiency. 1 dwg
