FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: sulfide polymetallic materials are treated by oxidative autoclave leaching at a temperature above the melting point of elementary sulfur in the presence of a surfactant to recover a sulfur product and to obtain commercial sulfur. The surfactant is C7-16 fatty acid in an amount of 0.3-0.9 kg/t of a solid polymetallic material. EFFECT: reduced amount of the surfactant use. 2 tbl
