FIELD: nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: device for removing a technological duct from a nuclear reactor has a body with a hollow drive spindle mounted in it and a hollow drive spindle vertical feed mechanism; a hollow rod having cutting head 9 and connected to the spindle; a duct gripping mechanism and a control rod 23 having cylindrical-conical cam 24. The duct gripping mechanism and the control rod 23 are interconnected through the body by a pull member. The duct gripping mechanism is made as a sleeve having balls 22 movable in radial direction. The hollow drive spindle vertical feed mechanism is kinematically connected to the duct gripping mechanism by horizontal axle 26 mounted on control rod 23 and having bearings 27 disposed on its end section and accommodated in a ring groove located in the joint area of cutting head 9 and hollow rod 8. The axle with bearings is vertically movable along guiding grooves 29 made in the gripping mechanism sleeve. The cylindrical-conical cam 24 is spring- actuated in the relation to control rod 23.
