FIELD: mixing technique; petrochemical industry; oxidation of petroleum residues to bitumen of different grades by oxygen contained in air. SUBSTANCE: cavitation reactor includes housing with impeller mounted in it. Hub of this impeller is mounted on pipe line having perforated end. Reactor is provided with disk fixed on end portion of pipe line and provided with passages in peripheral portion. Hub is taper in shape; it is mounted for free rotation. Hub is provided with passages; axes of inlet holes of these passages lie in one plane with axes of perforations of pipe line. Centers of outlet holes and inlet holes of passages provided in disk lie in one circle located in plane perpendicular to axis of reactor. EFFECT: intensification of mixing process.
