FIELD: plastic working of metals. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has heat-insulating split shell with heating members, composite die, whose lower and upper halves are coupled with supporting plates through die-holders. Heat-insulating shell has cooling system. Intermediate members connecting die halves with supporting plates are made from casting heat-resisting nickel-base alloy. Surface of each intermediate member, which are in contact one with the other are covered with double-layer coating, which contains intermediate Ni-Cr-Al- I system alloy sublayer with the thickness of 100-300 μm and heat-protective ceramic sublayer on the base of ZrO2 with the thickness of 100-500 m. Coating porosity is within the range of 3-5%. Water-cooled inducers are used as heating members. During operation of apparatus billet is deformed by working tools secured on die-holders. EFFECT: increased efficiency, enhanced reliability in operation, increased economy and reduced manufacturing cost of products obtained. 1 dwg
