FIELD: chemical-photography industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves addition of 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-1,3,3a,7-tetraazaindene, phenyl-di(p-anazyl)phosphine at concentration 1 x 1·10-3 M/M AgHal, sensibilizing dye - 3,3-diethyl-9,11,9′, 11′-bis-(β, β-dimethyltrimethylene)thiapentacarbocyanine iodide or 1,1′-diethyl-6, 6′-bis-(carbomethoxy)-13,15-trimethylene-14-methylquino-4, 4′-pentacarbocyanine iodide in melted bromoiodosilver emulsion of type "nucleus-envelope" containing AgJ (3 mol. % ). Compound of the formula where R - tert.-C4H9 or tert.-C8H17 is used as a supersensibilizing agent at concentration 5-10 x 5-10·10-3 M/M AgHal. Quantities of used supersensibilizing agents were decreased by 2-fold as compared with known one. Photographic properties of material were retained.
