FIELD: photography. SUBSTANCE: method involves emulsification, physical and chemical ageing followed by spectral sensibilization. Proposed emulsion contains 3 mol % of AgJ. Mentioned above spectral sensibilization is carried out with the help of di-(n-anizyl)phenyl phosphine (C-1), 2-heptyl-4-oxy-6-methyl- 1,3,3a, 7-tetraza indene (C-2) and using dyes: 3,3′-diethyl-9,11,9′,11′-bis-(β,β-dimethyl trimethylene)thiapentacarbocyanine iodide (K-I), 1,1′-diethyl-6,6′-bis-(trifluormethylmercapto)quino-4,4′-tricarbocyanine-n- toluene sulfonate (K-II), 3,3′-diethyl-9,11-β,β-dimethyl trimethylene)thiatetracarbocyanine iodide (K-III), 3,3′-diethyl-6,7,6′,7′-dibenzo-11-methylthiatricarbocyanine butane sulfonate (K-IV), 3,3′-diethyl-11-methylthiatricarbocyanine iodide (K-V), 3,3′-diehyl-11-isopropyloxythiatricarbocyanine iodide (K-VI), 3,3′-diethyl-5,5′-dimethoxy-6,6′-bis-(methylmercapto)-9,11-(β,β-dimethyl trimethylene)-10-methyl thiadicarbocyanine-n-toluene sulfonate (K-VII), and C-phenyl-N-phenylnitrone (C-3). After chemical ageing microcrystals of AgHal emulsion are let overgrown by envelope of AgBr. Emulsion is separated into portions A, B and C, their ratio being A:B:C=(8-9.5):(8-9.5):1. Into A portion C-1, C-2, K-I, K-II, K-III and C-3 are added, their quantities are 8 ·10-4, 2 ·10-4, 12 ·10-6, 6 ·10-6, 3 ·10-6, ·10-2 M/M AgHal respectively. Into C portion K-VIII, K-IX, K-X are added, their quantities are (48-96)·10-6, (48-96)·10-6, (72-144)·10-6 M/M AgHal respectively. Into portion B C-1, C-2, K-IV, K-V, K-VI, K-VII and C-4 are added, their quantities are 8 ·10-4, 2 ·10-4, 1.5 ·10-6, 1.5 ·10-6, 2 ·10-6, 0.75 ·10-6 and ·10-2 M/M AgHal respectively. Said portions are allowed to stand at 38 ± 0.5 C within 15-30 min, the process is followed by mixing said components at the same ratio. EFFECT: increases spectral sensitivity in short-wave region of spectra, retains spectral sensitivity in long-wave region of spectra. 2 tbl
