FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves electrolysis of aqueous-alkaline solution containing 25-35 g/l GeO2. Electrolysis is carried out at 75-85 C at crossed mixing electrolyte flows. Electrolyte flow feeding is carried out from the cathode space after germanium and hydrogen separation into anode space. Electrolyte flows from anode space, after oxygen separation, were fed into cathode space. High purity germanium hydride is used widely in electronic and semiconductive engineering.
