FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has horizontal steel casing lined with acid-resistant material. The casing is divided inside with partitions into three chambers. The upper part has free cross-section for gas to pass. Contact devices having slit clearance bounded in vertical direction with the lower end of the partition kept from touching the apparatus bottom to provide for heat exchange of heat carrier gas and liquid. Furnace is connected with the apparatus through a gas duct mounted in parallel to the apparatus axis. The acid is discharged from the first chamber of the apparatus through an opening. Overflow tubes are mounted into the partition close to the bottom. Three devices are built into the second separating partition. The devices are preconcentrators for scattering acid supplied through the slit injector as small drops. Waste gases are discharged from the apparatus through a spray trap with centrifugal attachment. Acid is collected in a ring-shaped groove and discharged through a nipple. EFFECT: enhanced production output; reduced fog formation. 1 dwg
