FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. To concentrate the acid, performing its heating by continuous or pulsed exposure to SHF range electromagnetic radiation, while evaporating the water. Heating of the acid is carried out in two or more stages with a gradual decrease in pressure at each subsequent stage. Acid concentration installation includes an evaporator 2 with an inlet 1 for the acids supplied to the concentration, an outlet 4, 7 for the vapor phase, an outlet 8 for the liquid phase. Installation also includes heat exchangers-condensers 3, 6 for vapor phases, pipelines for supplying initial acid streams, for transporting, distributing and withdrawing vapor and liquid phases, heating, cooling and pressure regulating devices. Evaporator is a container divided into at least two in series connected to each other sections. Each of the sections is provided with an outlet for the vapor phase connected to a heat exchanger-condenser 3, 6. On the evaporator outer surface, magnetrons 5 are installed as a heating device. As pressure regulating devices vacuum pumps are used. Vacuum in each evaporator subsequent section is above the vacuum in the previous section.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the acid concentration efficiency, reduce energy intensity, temperature and duration of the process, simplify the hardware, abandon expensive construction materials, to increase the process technological safety, to automate the process, to organize the possibility of an instant emergency stop.
